More Vector Graphics and Edited Images

These are some more images in vector graphics and photoshop.
The Wand and the "American Footbull Game" were the hardest, but I was able
to finish it in the outcome that I wanted. I hope you enjoy looking at them.

I created this during class time. I wanted to make something for Christmas,
so I decided to follow the instructions of making a snowman. When I finished
the snowman, I added the trees with triangles.

The wand I made in class time. I had instructions, but it
was for Illustrator and not for Inkscape. It was kind of difficult, but
in the end I got what I wanted.

The following two images I made in photoshop. I made them
at the same time. They were easy. All I had to do was copy and paste and edit.
That's how I did it.

Vector Graphics

This is my vector graphic head. This was a little challenging. I made it with Inkscape. Using the bezier tool, node tool, and auto shape tool. By method, you have to: duplicate, intersect, set colour/gradient, set transparacy and move the object nodes.

With this I was able to create this animated cartoon head.

This is my vector graphic heart. I made it in Inkscape. It was pretty easy. I used tools like the bezier curves and lines tool, the node tool and the gradient tool. With using methods, it's really simple. The things you have to do is: duplicate, intersect, move the nodes of the objects, set the colour and set the gradient.

That is what I did to create my heart.

Touched-up Photos

I took a photo from the web and touched it up as an assignment. I had to edit something in or out. I used the photo of 3 football(soccer) players and edited the ball and one of the players. I took the ball and moved it into the one player's hand and the background player I edited out completely. It was quite hard tacking away the player. I had to make sure that the background behind him looked as normal as possible, otherwise people will notice that it has been changed.

The Shoe

This is my favorite photo, as it works perfectly with the rule of thirds. It is also a photo that could be seen as random or silly. These are two of my favorite ways of taking photographs. This may seem false, but this photo represents the school. It is taken inside the school and belongs to one of the students. Everything is clearly visible. There is nothing in this photo that is not seen. It is a unique photo, because out of the entire Digital Art class. There is nothing very special about the coulors or lighting of the picture except for the three black stripes on the side of the shoe. I gave the image a title of “The Shoe” because it sounds like a reasonable name. I didn’t have to do anything unuasual to get the result that I have now.

Copyright

The symbol that you see on the right is the symbol for copyright. Many people don't even know what copyright is. Copyright is the law of the United States that protect the work of authors, artists and composers. It prevents the public from using or copying the work. There are different parts of copyright and different uses for all of them. Fair Use, for example is a part of copyright. It is the part that checks how much you use, if you use it for educational reasons and that the new version does not change the value of the original product in the market. Public Domain is another part of copyright that ties in with Fair Use. It is not copyrighted work that is free for the public to use. That is fair right?

The good thing about copyright is it protects the work of an individual. It does not let others copy or use the product for purposes such as that to make money out of a new product that could change the value of the original in the market. Some people protest against this law and say it's unfair towards other individuals that want to use the work for their own reasons. Some people ask permission to use the work. Sometimes they get permission, sometimes they don't. But those who don't get permission sometimes copy or use the work anyway. An example of this is Vanilla Ice who copied the heart of Queen's song. Vanilla Ice's hit song Ice Ice Baby had the copied tune of Queen's hit song Under Pressure.

Overall, Copyright is a good rule. It just has some annoying and ugly glitches.

New ZIS Logo

Last Logo

Logo 5
I chose this symbol as I find it good for all the nationalities of ZIS. This logo represents all the nationalities of ZIS and adds the sense of ZIS helping everyone, like the saying … lends you wings. I like this logo for the representation reasons listed above. I can’t find anything that I don’t like about this logo.

New ZIS Logo

Log 4
I chose this logo since I think it is a good symbol for ZIS. It represents the three levels of school(LS MS US) and the hills of Switzerland. I like this design because of the three circles representing the levels of school, surrounding the name ZIS. I think there isn’t much wrong with this logo.

New ZIS Logo

Logo 3
I chose this logo as it shows the school levels together and the different nationalities. This logo represents the levels of school together, the different nationalities and, if you look at it closely, the hills of Switzerland. I like this logo for the representation reasons listed above. I don’t really like the red moon shaped line, dangling under the rest of the logo.

New ZIS Logo

Logo 2
I chose this logo as it suggests all levels of school together in one school. This logo represents the levels of school in one and as it looks like a neutro symbol, so it suggests a smart school. I like the neutro symbolic form of this logo. There is nothing that I don’t like about this logo.

New ZIS Logo

Logo 1

I chose this logo, since to me, it represents the mountains of Switzerland. This logo represents the mountains of Switzerland. It also shows the three school levels of ZIS: Lower School, Middle School and Upper School. I like this logo because of the implimentation of the mountains in Switzerland and the three levels of school. I don’t really like the spacing of this logo a lot.
